Last Thursday, my friend Christie and her new fiance Ray came to visit me in Ocala, so we could hang out and capture some beautiful casual photos of them together, as we celebrated their engagement and upcoming June 8th wedding. We had a great time, and I know God is going to use this couple greatly as they partner not only in marriage but in ministry. God bless you both, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your lives.

Last Wednesday my friend Alexis came to the studio so we could begin working on updating her modeling portfolio. She recently left her full-time job to work with her husband Andy in his aviation business. After looking at these pictures, I think you'll agree with me, I think she should go for some modeling gigs too. Go for it, Alexis! Just make sure you and Andy take me along as your photographer when traveling to the big City for commercial work. ;o)

Here are some of our outtakes:

Almost forgot to post about a really cool magazine photo shoot I had a couple weeks ago. In early May, I got a call from my buddy Robert, who's the editor with Boating Life magazine. He asked me to cover a story about the experience of overnighting on a camp-ready pontoon boat. I accepted, then put together a trip on the St. John's river the following week. Although the smoke from local wildfires chased me out after a night, I still enjoyed the scenery and the adventure. Check out some of my favorite outtakes:

Last Tuesday I really enjoyed getting to photograph the memories of my good friends' Adam and Jennifer's son, Elliot, as he "graduated" from Pre-K at Redeemer School here in Ocala. They had a play where the kids dressed up as barnyard animals and it was a hoot. Check out some of the photos we got, and also the slideshow at this link: Elliot's graduation

Sunday afternoon was fun. I met up with my new friends Kelly and Joe at Disney's Boardwalk. They'll be getting married on Sept 15th at Cocoa Beach. They are a really fun couple and as you can tell from the samples and slideshow, we had lots of laughs together. The best laughs weren't even at this engagement session. Those came later when we went to Bahama Breeze and had horrible food, then got it free for our loud complaints to management. Good memories already with these two. Thanks Kelly and Joe. Looking forward to being a part of your big day through photography!

Last weekend I had a break from wedding shoots, and got to race in the super-competitive St. Anthony's triathlon on Sunday. I didn't have my best race (struggled in the run), but still did well enough to qualify for Nationals in Oregon in the end of June. Unfortunately, this is a short-course format, and I'm a long-course (Ironman) guy, so I think I'm going to pass, and stay focused on a steady build for Ironman Florida in November.

After the race, I met up with my friends Aleesa and Diego, who will be getting married in Orlando on August 11th. Together we created some beautiful engagement memories, and these are some of the samples we came up with.
