This past Saturday we had a great time capturing the wedding-day memories of Mallory and Chip. The Catholic ceremony was beautiful, then the reception at Suntree Country Club was quite a celebration. Thank you, Mallory & Chip, for allowing us such a special privilege to be so involved in your big day!

Yesterday was one of the most challenging photo shoots that I've ever done, and yet it turned out to be quite fun in spite of the adverse conditions. I met up with one of my favorite families, the Parodi family, to shoot some updated family pics on the beach for Christmas photos. But when I arrived at the park at Clearwater Beach, the rain was just starting. Over the next two hours, I have no idea how much it rained, but it never stopped, and just kept getting more intense until this fun family showed up. Then it was ON - complete downpour and less than 30 minutes of daylight left.
But we were not to be denied! We decided to go for it, whatever that meant. I had to be careful with my equipment, because I know what it's like to ruin gear in the rain. But we all wanted to have some fun in the rain, so I held an umbrella over my head with one hand, and my camera in the other. Then we all took off running toward the beach. The kids were in a watery dreamland, and we adults were quite enjoying reverting to our childhood days as well, as we proceeded to get soaked and giggled almost uncontrollably over the intensity and longevity of this ill-timed downpour.
Needless to say, this shoot was literally a wash-out, and yet we still didn't go home empty-handed. We will always have the memories from this day, and I know that years down the road we'll be laughing together at the first try of the 2008 Parodi family photos.
Thank you, Parodis, for being such a neat family, and for giving me the chance to be a kid again with you all!...
Here are a few of the shots that stayed dry (no drops on the lens or in people's faces)....

Sunday afternoon I got to drive down to one of my favorite state parks, at Sebastian Inlet, to meet future bride and groom Laurissa & Rob. This couple defines "laid-back and cool." We enjoyed dramatic "moody" skies, light ocean breezes, and good company as we walked the beach capturing moments together. I'm thrilled to be working with them on their wedding November 10th, and hope it's the beginning of a lifetime of working together for all their special moments.

My morning engagement session on Sunday was truly one of the most fun, frolicky shoots yet. Tracy & Blair are my newest wedding clients, so I met them and their kids at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach. First we went into the nature center area and got some cool open shade/woodsy shots. Then we went to the beach and ran around barefoot in the ankle-deep water. What a blast! Can't wait till your wedding, guys. It's gonna be special.

Last Saturday we got to work with a truly amazing couple, Kelly and Joe, for their wedding. These down-to-earth people have been nothing short of a dream to work with. They love each other, they know how to just goof off and have a good time, and there's nothing they won't try in front of the camera, in order to give me the chance to best capture their personalities and love for each other. My good friend (and very talented photographer) Chris Kocher with C&C Photography helped me give them our very best Cannonfire Photography Weddding Day Studio Experience. Kelly & Joe, thanks so much for giving us the privilege of capturing all the best memories of your big day. We love you guys!!
