Kailey's Rock-Star Senior Portrait Session

Last Monday I had a really fun time capturing Kailey's senior portraits. Kailey is the daughter of one of my mother's dear friends, Laurie, so I took special care of them as they drove up from Orlando for a downtown Ocala shoot. We met at the gallery, then went crazy with several different looks, mixing up nature with urban scenes, and of course, going through several outfit changes (as all high-school senior girls love to do!).

Thanks so much, Kailey and Laurie, for driving up and for inviting us to be such a special part of this very special year in your lives. And a special shout-out of thanks to my number-one rock-star senior from last year, Jordan, who was a complete natural in her first assisting job with me.

New Cannonfire Photography Website is HERE!

Hello, CFP blog stalkers, and welcome to the NEW Cannonfire Photography Website Experience. We've spent many hours updating our look, in order to give you a peek at our new team, our new Ocala portrait fine-art gallery, and our ever-improving unique photography. The growth the past couple of years has been astonishing, and we have YOU as our treasured clients to thank. You are the "look" of our studio, and we couldn't be more excited about where we're headed because of the amazing and beautiful people God has brought into our lives to be the ones that bring our works of art to life. Thank you for your business and for your continued referrals.

A few notable new things to check out on the site include the addition of a "Babies" gallery. Many of you have either had babies since your recent weddings, or are expecting. We're enjoying expanding our client experience to keep up as you expand your family.

Also, we've been having lots of fun with session of children and also special sessions at the beach on either the East Coast or Gulf Coast, so make sure you browse through those galleries as well.

Of course, we're still enjoying capturing those most special days with our wedding photography experience, and have updated that gallery to show some of our best recent work as well. We love knocking the socks off our brides and grooms on their wedding day with unique photography and an amazing experience, so make sure to spend a few minutes enjoying this slideshow which features weddings at the Cocoa Beach Hilton, the Don Cesar Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, the Belleview Biltmore Resort at Clearwater Beach, and much more.

And finally, NOW is the time to book your annual family photo session. This is the busiest time of year because of holiday photos, so book your date right away, before we are totally filled up. Whether you have an amazing family Story Wall in mind, or want holiday photos for Christmas cards and other gifts, this is the best time of year to capture those special family memories forever. Also, we will be having special beach days around the holidays, for those of you who have extended family coming into town and you'd like to offer them the gift of photography for Christmas. We now have gift cards in really cute presentation boxes, so these make the PERFECT Christmas gifts. We can even ship the cards in the packaging for you, so just let us know what you need and we'll take care of it for you in plenty of time for the holidays.

Charlie and Diane's Winter Park Engagement Session

Last weekend I met up with my good friend Charlie, his fiancee Diane, and his dog Blue, for a kickin' engagement session in Winter Park, at Rollins College. Charlie and I go back about six years or so, as we worked together as editors at Sport Fishing magazine. Since then, his success has taken him down the hall to another prestigious fishing magazine for bluewater fishermen called Marlin magazine. He's a great writer, and his articles and stories always take me back to my days traveling the world and covering the most unique and amazing fishing adventures on our planet.

I'm so happy he's found someone who matches him and complements him as well as Diane does. They're sure to be happy together as future husband and wife, and I'm excited to join them as their wedding photographer next May 16th at Paradise Cove Resort near Disney World.

Emily and Brian - Cocoa Beach Hilton Wedding

Last weekend was so much fun, as we joined Emily and Brian for their Cocoa Beach wedding. They had their ceremony on the beach on a picture-perfect Florida Fall day. Then the reception was outside on the deck of the Cocoa Beach Hilton, which is one of my favorite venues (as you'll see from our featured photo on their "weddings" link).

Emily and Brian are a laid-back couple who love the beach lifestyle. Their family and friends helped us capture an amazing wedding-day experience for all. In addition, it was great working alongside the ultimate Brevard wedding planners from Uniquely Yours Event Specialists and the best local dj with DJ Shane. A big part of our success as one of the top Central Florida wedding photographers is due to the great level of talent around us, so we love to recognize those who partner with us to help create wedding-day experiences that leave our clients in that "wow" state of mind for a long time after the day's events are over. Thanks for helping us raise the bar through the roof, Janice, Erica, Sandy, Brent and Shane.

Monforte Family - St. Pete Beach Family Photos

We really enjoyed our beach family photo session with the Monforte family recently at St. Pete Beach. It was a beautiful day, and we took full advantage of the sun, sand and family togetherness, to capture some amazing memories.

Last weekend was a Gulf Coast Beach photography weekend. Kara and I met up with several families for beach photo shoots. Our sunset shoot on Saturday was with the Hatch family. Kenny, Karen, Krista and Kyra are a family that knows how to have fun in the sun and sand. From the second our feet hit the beach, we were all running around having a blast. Karen (the wife and mother in the family) is my corporate banker, with Wachovia Bank. She's the best in the business, and because of her efforts and financial guidance, we're able to take bold steps here at CFP to make an impact in the Ocala area. I'm thankful for her, and glad I could return the blessing with these timeless once-in-a-lifetime family images.
